2020 : Impact Junior Transfers
Prep Hoops takes a look at which players could really be impact junior transfers this coming season in the SCHSL ranks.
Mezziah Oakman – Northside Christian (Lexington) (pictured on front)
Oakman arrived over at Northside Christian this fall after attending Ben Lippen last spring. Oakman 6’11 started his career with Gray Collegiate. Oakman played with the Ben Lippen Falcons at the University of South Carolina Team Camp. Oakman played this Grassroots Circuit season with the G.W.P Sixers. Oakman is a very nimble post player who can really alter and challenge shots on the defensive end of the floor.
Keyan Mims – Fort Mill HS
Mims 6’5 comes over from nearby York Prep Academy. Mims will join forces with Jacobi Wright (2021) #2 ranked player in the 2021 Palmetto State Rankings. Mims has a great first step and a strong frame to finish at the basket.
Traveon Davis – Clarendon Hall (Summerton)
Davis 6’4 comes over from Lake Marion HS and should be a great addition for the Saints. Davis a very athletic forward has great explosion to the basket and has the ability to stalk the baseline.
Cincere Scott – Ridge View HS
Scott comes over from South Aiken HS. Scott 5’11 combo guard will join a already very talented Blazers squad with Crosby Harris-James at the controls and Malcolm Wilson roaming the middle. Scott has the ability to create his owns shot and has a knack to score the ball.
CJ Plantin – Westside (Anderson)
Plantin 6’4 it seems like he has been in a bit of retirement. Plantin will join Traye Carson (Army) and Paul Johnson on the roster, Plantin played the fall semester last year at Legacy Early College. Plantin started his career at Pendleton HS.
Tyler Bowens – Wade Hampton HS (Greenville)
Bowens 6’4 came over from Class 2-A Greenville Tech. Bowens is a long and rangy forward who does his best work around the basket. Bowens played with Team South Carolina on the Grassroots Circuit.
Carrele Cooper – Waccamaw HS (Pawleys Island)
Cooper 6’2 transferred within the county from Andrews HS. Cooper recently had a solid showing at the Prep Hoops Top 250 Expo in Myrtle Beach. Cooper averaged 8 ppg last season for the Yellow Jackets. Cooper played with Manzer on the Grassroots Circuit.
