2019 : Top Assist Guys
Prep Hoops takes a look at the top returning assist guys in the 2019 class.
Darius Taylor – Hemingway HS – 7.2 assists (pictured on front)
Taylor is back for one last time and already has won 2 state championships for the Tigers. Taylor has scored 896 career points and dished out 429 assists in his time wearing a Tigers uniform. Taylor even excels on the gridiron with over 25 career interceptions as a defensive back.
Jahrique Isaiah – Loris HS – 7.1 assists
Isaiah led the Lions to a magical season last year and a (19-1) record.
Derrick Larry – Summerville HS – 6.1 assists
Larry had a 3 to 1 ratio assists to turnovers for the Green Wave last season.
Josiah James – Porter Gaud (Charleston) – 6 assists
James is ranked #1 player in the Palmetto State and will play at the University of Tennessee next fall.
Khalil Robinson – Gray Collegiate – 6 assists
Robinson helped the War Eagles win their first 2-A State Championship last season.
Ja’hiem Handy – TL Hanna HS (Anderson) – 5.8 assists
Handy plays with a great motor and a keen eye on the floor. Handy ran on the Grassroots Circuit with the South Carolina Playmakers.
David Muncy – Shannon Forest Christian (Greenville) – 5.7 assists
Muncy is already committed to play at North Greenville University (NCAA D2) after his playing days with the Crusaders.
Mike Green – Christian Academy of Myrtle Beach – 5.6 assists
Green has pretty much every stat imagine for the Saints. Green a left-handed guard has already scored 1,726 career points while dishing out 439 assists. Green has made 260 three pointers in his career to boot for the Saints.
Trae Hannibal – Hartsville HS – 5.5 assists
Hannibal will play for the University of South Carolina Gamecocks after he leaves the Red Foxes.
Noah Moore – Laurens Academy (Laurens) – 5.1 assists
Moore we first saw play last season at SCISA State Tourney.
Tyshaun Johnson – Darlington HS – 5.1 assists
Johnson is the table setter for the Falcons this season and new Head Coach Tony Heilbronn.
