He is the top point guard in the state regardless of class. De’Vion is the true definition of a point guard. He competes on both ends, creates for others, and is an extension of the coach while on the floor. The Oklahoma commit will look to lead pre-season 6A number one Denton Guyer to a state title this year.
Look for … Devon McCain
to make a push back into the top 25 and maybe even the top 20. He also is a point guard who will be leading a pre-season number one team in Silsbee. Devon is a big point guard with a great physical frame who does it all on the basketball court. The three-star guard will be making his college decision in the first week of November.
Division II’s should take a good look at Tariq Aman.
After having a down summer, Aman will is bound to have a stellar senior season. Coppell will look to him for leadership as he will be the floor general for a very young, but talented Cowboy squad. The lefty is one of the quickest guards in the state. He is a true point guard who looks to create for others, but also is aware of the right situations to create for himself. He has a tight handle and can break a full-court press by himself. Tariq can score and knock down jumpers from behind the arc with consistency. He is a solid floor general who always looks to make the right decisions with the basketball.
