2019 Forwards To Watch
Emmanuel Izunabor (Fayetteville Academy)-Attacks the rim; good motor; can step out and hit the mid-range; tried to dunk when he catches the ball in the paint every time; alters shots; good at defending the rim; has added some muscle to his frame; would like to see him add some back to the basket moves;
Josh Hall (Moravian Prep)-Long and agile; can step out and knock down shots; skilled; handles the ball well; long arms; can finish on the break; smooth; good interior passing ability; soft touch around the rim;
Brice Williams (Hopewell HS)-Great Scorer at all three levels, Excellent 3 point shooter who can put the ball on the floor and get to any spot he wants and rise over the top of defenders, great length and athleticism on the defensive end, Excellent defensive rebounder who will grab it and lead the break. Father is leading scorer in Charlotte histroy. Has Charlotte offer along with Holy Cross and Lafayette.
Tyzhaun Caudle (Moravian Prep)-6’8; double-double machine; gets good position on the low block; gets good position for rebounding; blocks shots and alters shots;
Joshua Massey (United Faith)-Agile; long; really good size at his position; able to score from all spots on the floor; rebounds well at the wing; defends; good shooting form; lefty; moves well without the call;
Nicolas Evtimov (Greensboro Day)-Strong frame; skilled; good footwork; soft touch around the rim; physical; works hard; can shoot it from outside and make kid-range shots; good rebounder;
Ben Beeker (Hendersonville HS)-Strong/Skilled Big man, soft touch around the rim, extremely fundamentally sound, above average passer of the basketball, 4.0 GPA
Gavin Rains (Wheatmore HS)-Big time rebounding ability; led PSB Elite in rebounding over the summer/spring; competitor; doesn’t back down; played a lot of the summer with broke finger; biggest question mark is shooting;
Joe Dooley (Charlotte Catholic)-6’8; good footwork down-low; blocks shots; rebounds; gets good position on the block; runs the floor well; good interior passer;
