WCE Arizona All-Star Camp: Top 20 Game Standouts
West Coast Elite hosted their AZ All-Star Camp at the PHHacility and the venue was backed with great talent and figures in the basketball world. Players received some instruction and then were ranked. Here are my favorite players in the Top 20 Game:
Trent Hudgens 6’1 (Moon Valley 2020):
Trent Hudgens has once again impressed me with his shooting ability and basketball IQ/court vision. Hudgens seems to always make the correct play/pass in every situation. His shooting ability has to put him in the discussion of one of the best shooters in Arizona. Trent played well and I am excited to see him play this high school season, I think he has a lot of potential.
Matur Dhal 6’10 (Paradise Honors 2021):
No one has more potential than this young man. Dhal immediately catches your attention due to his great length and size. As he continues to develop offensively, his stock will continue to rise. He did show me some offensive improvements in today’s event. More importantly, he seems very coach-able and shows a desire to get better. Very excited to see how far this kid could go and how great of a player he can become.
Xavier Dusell 6’4 (AZ Compass Prep 2020):
Xavier is in the same boat at Hudgens. He once again impressed me with his shooting, as he always does. I would also put Dusell in that conversation of best shooters in Arizona. One thing that stood out to me was his defense, in my opinion this has always been a weaker point in his game. However, today he made some good rotations and played some decent on ball defense. If he can continue to put in work on the defensive side of the ball, his stock will also rise.
