Uncommited Seniors to keep an eye on!
Word of God Forward Trevon Spencer: Wingspan and athleticism are probably the things that you notice about him early and often. He has all the tools to be a special talent, finishing above the rim offensively and protecting the basket defensively.
Grace Christian PG Nate Yow: A player that have watched progress for some years now and we feel that this could very well be a breakout season for him. His ability to run a team, defend, score and be a coach on the court are all things that college programs will love about him.
Southern Vance HS Marcus Harrison: JUCO programs should be keeping a very close eye on him, he will need the JC route and is a player that can absolutely fill it up scoring wise. Just about every time you see him play he scoring a lot of points in a short span of time, he’s quick and understands how to get to his spots.
Southern Vance HS Corey Baldwin: He has flown under the radar for many but there is a lot to like about what he brings to the table. He can run the PG spot and has decent size for a PG at about 6’2-6’3, also he displays a high amount of unselfishness on the court, whatever his team needs from him, and he gives on a nightly basis.
Greene Central Forward Donte Johnson: An undersized player at the Forward spot as he measures out about 6’4, but his motor and strength are things we feel can translate for him to the next level. Rebounding the ball is an attribute that we like, he does a nice job of finding a body as soon as the shot goes up.
Rocky Mount Prep Guard Trevor Batchelor: His role and production this season should be elevated with the departure of the team’s top scorers from last season. We like his strength and quickness that he uses on both ends of the floor but especially on the defensive end, so far he’s picked up some interest from programs on the D3 level.
