The TR3 Hoops Summit was live! A lot of great talent in the gym and a very competitive atmosphere. The music was loud and the player’s fed off of that energy and delivered some high quality games. Here are the top performers from the event:

Zay On-Tay Boothman (Buckeye):

Tay Boothman was on fire! He knocked down 5 3’s while also contributing 3 assists and 4 rebounds. Boothman finished the game was 25 points and looked like the most impressive player in the gym. Boothman also demonstrated his athletic ability with some impressive fast break dunks. This ability is always an added bonus to any player, especially coming from the point guard position.

Otis Frazier (Buckeye):

Otis Frazier turned in another impressive game. Frazier is a very consistent player, impacting the game in a positive way for his team. Otis also finished with 25 points while contributing 4 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals, and 1 very impressive block on DaRon Holmes.

DaRon Holmes (Millennium):

DaRon did exactly what I thought he would. Holmes showed that he can compete with anyone in the state regardless of age or position. He was able to defend the perimeter very nicely. DaRon turned in a double double, which is nothing out of the ordinary for him. Holmes finished with 10 points, 10 rebounds, 3 blocks, 1 steal, and 3 assists.
