Top Returning Sophomore Duos: Part II
To keep our season previews going, we will be looking at the best returning duos and trios in each class. We continue, we look at our top returning sophomore duos. This is Part II, be on the lookout for Part III coming soon. This list is in no particular order.
Crishawn Christmas and Quimari Peterson (Gary West)
Christmas and Peterson are going to be really good for Gary West this year. They will probably be the duo that scores the most combined points this year. Christmas is a crazy long wing who can get to the rim and Peterson is a small guard who finishes really well at the rim. Both have a huge upside of scoring ability.
Landon Morris and Vinny Buccilla (Hamilton Southeastern)
Morris and Buccilla are going to be the guys for HSE in a few years. Buccilla is a guy that is going to most likely move off ball as he is a shooter with range. Buccilla has a great ability to just go out and make plays. Morris is a forward who is a bit in between positions. He can play on the perimeter and will probably move out that way this winter.
Ashton Beaver and Max Grimes (Lafayette Jefferson)
While Grimes may be an all-state quarterback, he is also a really good point guard. He is strong with the ball and has quick decision making. He can score it inside pretty well as he is so tough.
D.J. Hughes and Vincent Brady (Lawrence North)
Hughes is a huge forward with a big frame. He is very athletic and is great at tracking down long rebounds. He is a able to take the ball out and play on the perimeter as well. Brady is a guard who has a ton of scoring potential in his game. He is able to play both guard spots but is better off the ball as he can move really well without it.
