Top 250 Expo: Wings who raised their profile (2021)
Here is a look at several 2021 wings who raised their profile at the Prep Hoops Kansas Top 250 Expo held on Sunday at Blue Valley West.
29 — Blake Danitschek, 6’4, G/F, 2021, Kapaun Mt Carmel (Kan.)
Just a sophomore, Danitschek has a good combination of size, length and toughness for a young wing player. He can put the ball on the floor and drive to the basket, and can also step out and shoot from the outside and is strong and physical with the ball. Danitschek definitely showed this weekend is he is a player to watch going forward.
40 — Charlie Goree, 6’3, G/F, 2021, Wichita Collegiate (Kan.)
Goree is a big guard with good size and frame for his age and combined his physical attributes with terrific all-around skill. He moved well without the basketball and brought some skill and versatility to the floor.
46-Tanner Hecht, 6’3, G/F, 2021, Wamego (Kan.)
A thin small forward who can keep his chin up and go after plays. Hecht could be see diving on the floor and making contact when the ball went up. He has a good eye for the ball and can handle pressure down low and outside the paint. His effort on the floor translates into buckets and rebounds around the basket.
48 — Parker Hill, 6’2, G/F, 2021, Blue Valley (Kan.)
Really like Hill’s size and versatility. He is a tough, hard-nosed all-around competitor who works hard at the defensive end of the floor, rebounds at a high level and has a versatile, all-around skill set. He can handle the ball a little, shoots it well from the outside and competes.
