Top 250 Expo: Missouri stock risers (2020)
Here is a look at several 2020 Missouri players who raised their profile at the Prep Hoops Kansas Top 250 Expo held on Sunday at Blue Valley West.
51 — Cashius Howell, 6’3, G/F, 2021, Rockhurst (Mo.)
Howell has a strong, thick frame with good size and athleticism. He can knock down outside shots and is tough to contain around the basket as he uses his frame well.
61-Vincent Kelby, 6’0, G, 2020, Lee’s Summit West (Mo.)
A nice shooter with good handles. Kelby plays well behind the 3-point line. He pushes the ball up the floor and can slash to the basket on occasion. He has the potential and skill to make shots for himself, and did so on occasion. But he mainly played an unselfish game. He tried to make the extra pass and keep the crowd entertained with his passing and misdirection. Kelby can be a lot to handle at times.
78 — Darius Pottard, 5’11, G, 2021, Rockhurst (Mo.)
Another guard who runs the floor well and fights through coverage in the lane when he drives. Pottard passes well, looking to keep those around him involved when he’s on the floor. He has a good sense of how the ball should move. He also moves well off the ball. Pottard works hard to get open and works hard to make plays with the ball.
83-Zachariah Rowe, 5’8, G, 2020, William Chrisman (Mo.)
Rowe is a nice guard with a bag full of tricks. He’s a slick guard who can dance around defenders and sink a 3-point shot with a hand in his face. Few defenders can keep up with his speed. He also has good misdirection and hesitation to his game. He can step one way and go the other. It’s difficult for defenders to get a read on him. A nice guard to look out for.
