Top 250 Expo (Class of 2020 Forwards)
Here are the Class of 2020 forwards from last weekend’s Prep Hoops Top 250 Expo in St. Louis:
Daniel Abreu 6’5″ Willard: A versatile combo forward who can impact the game in a variety of ways. He is at his best as a scorer when driving the ball or getting post ups in the paint. He is a good ball handler and an excellent passer, so you can run you offense through him. He is also a solid defender. He plays a very unselfish game on both ends of the court.
Tysen Brennen 6’4″ Lee’s Summit West:
Isaiah Esker 6’8″ Parkway South: A big physical post player who did a good job of using his size and bulk in the low post. He was good at carving out his space down low and scoring in traffic. When he didn’t finish, he displayed excellent second effort and rebounding his own shot and getting the put-back.
Jack Lawson 6’6″ Lutheran South: A young Stretch 4 who has a nice skill set on the perimeter and the ability to knock down shots from 3-point range. He is a solid ball handler and passer with a pretty nice upside. He also did a good job of guarding the pick and roll on defense and even blocked a few shots on the perimeter with his length.
Cole Weber 6’3″ Borgia: A solid wing player who did a good job of moving without the ball and getting himself open. A lot of his offense came on good cuts to the basket and running the floor in transition.
