Top 250 Expo (Class of 2019 Forwards)
Here is a look at the top Class of 2019 forwards from last weekend’s Prep Hoops Missouri Top 250 Expo in St. Louis:
Dominique Hardimon 6’3″ Poplar Bluff: The physical combo forward had little trouble getting buckets in the paint, whether he was making straight line drives of attacking the offensive boards. He also got out in transition as he kept his motor running all day. He is a big matchup problem because he will handle the ball quite a bit and attack off the dribble.
Trent Lippoldt 6’7″ Doniphan: A versatile post player who was one of the best in the showcase at scoring around the basket. He had good moves in the post whether he was going left or right and he had a good shooting touch inside. He also scored on some muscular drives to the basket from the perimeter and made some good decisions with the ball.
Connor Diecker 6’5″ Freeburg, IL: A big-bodied combo forward from the Illinois side who was impressive with his overall skill set. He looks somewhat like a bulky post player, but his perimeter game was very solid. He handled the ball well and scored on a few coast to coast drives. He also knocked down several 3-pointers off the catch.
Omena Oberuvwu 6’7″ Missouri Military Academy: An impressive looking athlete who could run the court and jump, which led to a lot of rebounds and blocked shots during the showcase. He did a good job of scoring around the basket. He started his career at Parkway North a couple of years ago and he has developed pretty well since I’ve seen him last. Very intriguing prospect.
Tyler Jowett 6’6″ Mascoutah, IL: A very solid post player who had the ability to score in the paint or step outside and hit a jumper off the catch. He was good at getting position and he displayed a very effective jump hook over the left shoulder. He also hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer to send a game into overtime.
