Top 250 Camp : 2021 Top Performers
The 2021 Palmetto State class seems to be a good one for sure. The future is bright here in South Carolina. Lets take a look at some of the 2021 Top Performers this past weekend at the Prep Hoops Top 250 Expo in Myrtle Beach.
Bryce McGowens 6’3 – Wren HS (Piedmont) (pictured on front)
McGowens recently picked up a offer from St John’s (NY). McGowens was on top of his game here today with his play. McGowens #3 ranked played in the 2021 Palmetto State Class averaged 18.4 ppg last season for the Hurricanes. McGowens has great length and deep range on the floor. McGowens was in the passing lanes all day long with deflections.
Jaquarious “JQ” Jones 6’2 – Greenville HS
Jones is just a mismatch and production guy on the floor at all times. Jones really likes to handle the rock and play multiple positions on the floor. Jones isn’t afraid to drive it or post up whatever he needs to do. Jones likes the ball in his hands and at times looks like a fullback on the hardwood. Jones really uses his body to create separation. Jones averaged 9 ppg and 7 rebounds last season for the Red Raiders.
James Lovorn 5’10 – TL Hanna HS (Anderson)
Lovorn is a pass 1st point guard that really sees the floor well. Lovorn is a scrappy guard that just makes the simple plays and executes everything in front of him. Lovorn averaged 12 ppg last season for the Yellow Jackets.
Kameron Little 6’4 – Legacy Early College (Greenville)
Little has thin frame and a good upside. Little really seems to excel in the transition game and in the open court. Little knocked down a few 8-10 footers today. Little will have plenty of talent around him this season on the Lions roster.
DaVeon Thomas 6’0 – Lee Central HS (Bishopville)
Thomas is a smooth leader on the floor that really sees the floor well. Thomas gets into the gaps and has that next gear to get by defenders. Thomas makes play for others on the floor and now will take over the reins and be the leader this season for the Stallions. Thomas is ranked #4 in the 2021 Palmetto State.
Adonis Davis 6’1 – Blackville-Hilda HS (Blackville)
Davis never stops smiling on and off the floor. Davis is a tough kid that just brings that mentality to the floor every time he plays. Davis is the quarterback for the Hawks on the football field and also the leader on the hardwood.
Mequaje McDaniels 5’7 – Westwood HS
McDaniels just constantly keeps ball pressure on defenders. McDaniels scored most of his points from the mid-range game in. McDaniels is a pesky defender that isn’t afraid to sacrifice his body for a charge.
