Season Preview: Jesse Bethel High School
During the 2015-2016 season the Jesse Bethel Jaguars featured 5 players that all averaged near double figures. Dakkaria Peterson, Brandon Allison, Deangelo Gomez, Dezel Gilton, and Malcolm Bracy. That team was the last Bethel team to make it to postseason play. The past two seasons since has been brutal as the team has finished in last place in the conference both seasons. However, there is a large level of excitement this season as the team comes in with a lot of talent. Head Coach Dwayne Jones will enter another season with the Jags and he is motivated to get his team back into the playoffs and make a deep run.
The team will feature two sport athlete Jacob Sharp who has been on the team since his sophomore season. Chance McMillan and Lafayle Fuller will provide the edge that Bethel may need to return to the postseason and make a deep run. The improvement of Jevon Jackson, Ezekiel Dycus, Jorri Taylor, and Angel Cerrato will make Bethel a deep team. Coach Jones will have a lot of pieces in play to have a good season and be able to compete with anybody.
