Recruiting Round-Up: Visit Season
With several top 2019 players already committed and others starting to visit campuses or host college coaches in their homes, recruiting is starting to heat up.
- University Heights KyKy Tandy has scheduled some visits. Tennessee and Oklahoma State will be at UHA next week. Tandy has in-home visits set with Virginia Tech, Ole Miss and Iowa State next week as well30
- Pendleton County star Dontaie Allen has scheduled his official visit to Kentucky on the weekend of Big Blue Madness next month. Allen will be on campus the weekend of October 12th. He committed to the Wildcats early last month.
- Madison Central forward Isaiah Cozart is headed to Charlotte this weekend on an official visit. Cozart has already officially visited Belmont and UNC Wilmington and has a visit at William and Mary next weekend. Isaiah also visited Wofford unofficially this week.
- McCracken County Junior Jackson Sivills took an unofficial visit to Northern Kentucky last weekend and picked up an offer from the Norse. Jackson now has 7 offers and is the clear cut top player in the 2020 class right now.
- Henry Clay’s Marques Warrick has added new interest from Furman.
- South Laurel guard Matt Cromer will have Western Carolina at school next week to watch him in open gym. Lipscomb and VMI have also been involved with Cromer’s recruitment since the summer.
- Scott Senior Wing Trey Meister continues to be a hot name with small colleges and universities. Centre and Thomas More both reached out this week and Meister has visits scheduled at Anderson, Indy Tech, Asbury, Mount St Joe, Marietta, Rio Grande and Capital.
- Transylvania was in the gym at Mercer County yesterday for Senior point guard Carter Baughman. Carter has an offer from Brescia and interest from Asbury, Centre and a host of other schools.
- Highlands Senior Spencer Macke has been offered a walk-on spot at West Virginia. Coach Huggins offered the spot last week while Macke was on a visit.
- Collins Junior Point Guard Dayvion McKnight will take a visit to Western Kentucky next weekend. Coach Rick Stansbury and staff have been recruiting Dayvion heavily since he had a great week at WKU’s team camp in June.
- Sophomore Sheldon Clark Center Trey James will continue his visit tour as he goes to Big Blue Madness next month at Rupp Arena. James has already visited Louisville and Purdue in the last couple of weeks.
