Former North Meck star Jae’lyn Withers

Former North Meckelburg HS (Charlotte) forward Jae’Lyn Withers now of Cleveland Heights (OH) has committed to Louisville. He joins Northwood Temple guard Josh Nickelberry as Cardinal commits over the past month. He chose to leave North Carolina and move to Ohio before his senior season began and was a big factor in North Mecklenburg’s chances for a state title. 

2019 F Brandon Stone of Christ School has committed to LaSalle. The Pittsburgh native has become one of the top big men in North Carolina over the past season and is a legitimate threat at the stretch-four position. He is skilled with the ball in his hands and can step out and knock down the long ball. 

NC State and North Carolina will be in on Monday to see Wendell Moore workout. He is down to a final list of schools and is looking to make a decision before the early signing period. 

UVA, NC State, Clemson, Radford, Elon, UNCG, Navy, Lipscomb, USC-Upstate were at Greensboro Day for workouts Sunday including Head coaches from UVA, NC State and Navy.

2019 big man Demilade Adelekun of Gaston Day (NC) will take official visit to Dartmouth on September 16th. Cornell and Brown expected to be in during upcoming recruiting period.

ECU and UNC-Wilmington will be in on Monday to see 2020 guard Justin Wright and 2021 Terquavion Smith of Farmville Central HS. Smith takes unofficial visit to NC State next Saturday 9/15.

2020 W Darlinstone Dubar will attend Athens Prep (TN) this season. Played at Rocky River HS this past season.

One of the top players for Team CP3 and York Prep (SC) last season, Derricko Williams will suit up for The Phoenix of Winston-Salem Prep this upcoming season. The long and very athletic Williams is a mid-major prospect at the collegiate level. 

Lincoln Charter guard Jackson Gabriel has committed to Lees-McRae. The sharpshooter out of Lincolnton, North Carolina will give “Dunk Mountian” an immediate threat from the outside. Head Coach Steve Hardin has done a tremendous job of keeping North Carolina on the Lees-McRae roster.
