Program Awards: IAM3rd ICE
With the 2018 AAU season in the rear view mirror, we are going to dive into programs across the state looking at their teams in a variety of categories in our Program Awards! Today we examine IAM3rd ICE!
Program MVP
Brayden Sebastian, Garrard County
One of our biggest risers in the last few months in our rankings, Sebastian was the leading scorer in almost all of ICE’s games in July. The scorer from Garrard County had several big games over the course of the season and drew the eyes of scouts and college coaches all season long.
Top 2019 Prospect
N/A – ICE only has a 2020 team
Top 2020/2021 Prospect
Zyshonne Atkinson, Franklin County
Realistically, Sebastian is the best prospect in the group but Atkinson isn’t far behind. Zyshonne had a steady spring and summer with some big games and a lot of double-doubles. Franklin County has a strong nucleus returning and could make a run to the 11th region semifinals or better this season if all goes well. Look for Atkinson to make his way on to some small college radars this season.
Sleeper
Tyler Rice, Anderson County
Rice was way off our radar at the start of AAU season and will likely move into the class rankings when we update them again. Tyler was steady all summer and could be counted on for 8-10 points per game, every game. With Anderson County reloaded this season, Rice could be primed for a big Junior year.
Biggest Stock Riser
Zeke Grier, Lexington Christian
Grier is a good shooter who is starting to become better at the other aspects of the game. As he is improving as a driver and facilitator, Zeke’s stock will continue to rise. LCA needs to replace a significant amount of production that was lost to graduation and Zeke expects to step up and fill that void this season. Look for Grier to move into our 2020 rankings at the next update.
