Program Awards: Chicago Lockdown
Now that the travel team season has wrapped up we dive into programs across the state looking at their teams in a variety of categories in our Program Awards! Today we examine Chicago Lockdown!
Program MVP
Nate Ferguson (Lemont)
Whenever Chicago Lockdown has been at their best over the years their offense has been focused around a multi-faceted playmaking four man. That is exactly what this Lemont power forward brings to the table. When a play needed to be made it was Ferguson who they would look toward!
Top 2019 Prospect
Nate Ferguson (Lemont)
This face up four man has a ton of skill. He can shoot it out to three as well as put it on the deck. Explosive athleticism around the rim which is what really elevated his game during the spring.
Top 2020/2021 Prospect
Ryan Isaacson (Hinsdale Central)
The next four man in the pipeline is this Hinsdale Central power forward. What you have to like about Isaacson is his size and length. Versatile prospect that can score with a soft touch around the hoop or stretch it out to beyond the three point arc. Sneaky bounce especially on the defensive end.
Sleeper
Nolan Niego (Lyons)
Niego is a crisp and heady point guard that plays the game the right way. This high IQ point guard is a lethal pull up jump shooter from mid-range that makes smart decisions with the basketball in his hands.
Biggest Stock Riser
Demari Grant (Oswego East)
Grant had flashes as a junior last year at Bolingbrook, but took it up a notch during the spring for Lockdown. The scoring point guard proved to be a dynamic scoring threat drilling shots from mid-range on a consistent basis as well as being a tough layup maker.
