Prep Hoops Top 250 Expo: 2021 And 2022 Stockrisers
The Prep Hoops Top 250 gave fans and college coaches a glimpse into the future. Many players from the 2021 and 2022 classes saw their stock rise as prospects.
Kobe Bufkin (2021, 6’3”, G, Grand Rapids Christian)
Bufkin has turned himself into a potential high major recruit. He’s a dynamic creator and smooth lefty who can score from anywhere.
Bennie Crenshaw (2021, 5’11”, PG, Waterford Kettering)
Crenshaw has put himself on the recruiting radar. He’s a quick footed floor leader and solid passer.
Blake Goodman (2021, 6’3”, G, Novi Christian)
Goodman is an excellent athlete. He finds efficient shots and runs the floor well. Goodman was solid defensively on the perimeter.
Ryan Grantham (2021, G/F, Grand Rapids Catholic Central)
Grantham made noise at the Top 250. He has good size, is an excellent defender, and a multi level scorer.
Deon Hayes (2021, 5’10”, PG, North Farmington)
Hayes showed the potential to guide a college team someday. He was outstanding with the ball in his hands, breaking down opponents and finding teammates.
Christian Johnson (2021, 5’10”, G, L’Anse Creuse North)
Johnson turned heads at the Top 250. He can handle with both hands and makes crisp passes. Johnson was comfortable in transition and the half court game.
Thomas Kurowski (2021, 6’4”, G, Sturgis)
Kurowski is a must see prospect. He’s a scorer and can do it in multiple fashions. He has excellent size and strength.
Blake Lund (2021, 6’1”, G, Linden)
Lund simply has next level capabilities. He’s an excellent shooter and consistent in all aspects of his game.
Makylind Manciel (2021, 6’2”, G/F, Detroit Country Day)
Manciel showed a diverse skill set. He’s strong and physical, and knows how to use it on both ends.
Kingsley Perkins (2021, 6’5, F, Ann Arbor Huron)
Perkins is a next level athlete. He uses his athleticism and length to be a rim protector. Perkins is active on the glass and always a threat for put back points.
Daniel Runkel (2021, 5’8”, G, Milan)
Runkel made people watch him at the Top 250. He was one of the best pure shooters at the event. Runkel didn’t show any limit on his range.
Will Smythe (2021, 6’1”, G, De La Salle Collegiate)
Smythe showed why he is considered one of the better prospects in his class. He’s a solid defender who recognizes good shots offensively.
Mikkos Stewart (2021, 6’0”, G, Brother Rice)
Stewart is a player to watch this season. He’s got Division 1 skills. Stewart was solid with the ball and a creator for his teammates.
Jack Williams (2021, 6’1”, G, Ann Arbor Skyline)
Is there something in the water at Skyline? Williams is another dangerous shooter from Ann Arbor. He was especially effective from the corner.
DJ Allison (2022, 5’11”, G, Kalamazoo Central)
Allison is one of the top prospects in his class. His toughness and discipline on the court are to be desired by college coaches someday.
Cameron Brilliantes (2022, 5’7”, G, Okemos)
Brilliantes put himself on the map at the Top 250. He was an excellent three point shooter with solid mechanics and a quick release.
Max Burton (2022, 6’3”, G, Williamston)
Burton will be a force in high school basketball for years to come. He has great size to go with a solid skill set.
Thomas Dillard IV (2022, 6’1”, G, Kalamazoo Central)
Dillard IV was yet another Kalamazoo kid who was tough as nails and ready to be coached. He’s going to make a college coach very happy someday.
Reichen Lund (2022, 5’10, G, Linden)
Lund makes it look easy and effortless. He has a high basketball IQ and always seems to make the high percentage play.
Maurice Sain (2022, 6’2”, G, Muskegon)
Sain sent a message last weekend. He’s a quick and explosive guard with good size.
Brady Titus (2022, 5’10”, G, Tri Unity Christian)
Titus is a game changer. He plays downhill on offense, creating and scoring. On defense, he has quick feet and hands to force turnovers.
Caden Vanden Berge (2022, 6’3”, F, Forest Hills Eastern)
Vanden Berge is loaded with potential. He uses his length to swallow opponents and protect the rim. Vanden Berge ran the floor smoothly and quickly.
Derrick Voltz (2022, 6’1”, G, Carrollton)
Voltz was a player to watch at the Top 250. He showed his athleticism and ability to defend at a high level.
