PHI Top 250: 2019 New Faces
The Prep Hoops Indiana Top 250 finished up this past weekend and with over 160 prospects from the area coming into Fishers High School, we had a great look at those players we knew, and a bunch we didn’t. There were a ton of great performances that made us look at guys in a new light.
Today, we are diving into those players from the 2019 class. We found our guys that came into our view from this past weekend as new faces. Here is the list.
Beau Ludwick – 6’2 SG 2019 – Penn (IN)
Ludwick is a guy small school colleges will want to take a much longer look at. He’s a big guard that doesn’t make mistakes, sees the court and passes at a high level. He was really good this weekend showcasing the ability to play on or off of the ball. He’s got the size you want, built up strength already, and a very capable jumper.
Alex Terrell – 6’4 SG 2019 – Traders Point (IN)
Terrell has popped up on our radar a couple times this fall and he’s been solid enough for us to take notice. The big wing has handles and creativity in the open floor where he can finish at a fairly high level. Good frame that will put him on the floor at a 2/3 but athletically gifted enough to defend 1-3.
Tony Truth – 5’11 PG 2019 – Indianapolis Howe (IN)
Tony has impressed us twice now as a scorer in the open floor. He’s a guy that likes to go north and south and with pace, finishing at the rim at a very high level. Good lateral quickness and footwork where he can be quick and deceptive in the lane. Add in a better jumper and he’s going to have a big year for Howe.
Jason Williams – 5’11 PG 2019 – Metro East Lutheran (IL)
Jason is a really quick guard with some twitch to his game. Likes to make defenders look off balance and uses a solid first step to create space. Was shooting the ball at a high level and in rhythm. If he has space, it is over as the defender and he’s going to find a shot.
Jackson Bennett – 6’8 PF 2019 – Bishop Dwenger (IN)
Bennett is a big forward with some mobility in the post. He’s got a great frame with strength and some length. Can face up a little bit but when he is on the low block he can make a play to score. Was good finding the boards and creating some opportunities for himself in a setting that isn’t always the best for forwards.
