Palmetto State : Recruiting News
It has been a very busy week here in the Palmetto State. Several players have decided on schools for next year and are no longer on the board. Lets take a look and see where these players will be headed next fall for college.
Malcolm Wilson # 2 in the 2019 class with play for the Georgetown Hoyas and Head Coach Patrick Ewing next season. Wilson 6’11 center will look to help the Ridge View HS Blazers win another Class 4-A State Championship. Wilson visited Rice University a few weeks back before visiting Georgetown.
Tre Jackson #4 will play in the Big 12 Conference next season at Iowa State University. Jackson 6’2 guard from Blythewood HS played this summer with Team South Carolina on the Grassroots Circuit. Jackson is back to lead the Bengals this season. Jackson picked up 20 offers this past summer.
Chico Carter Jr. #7 will head off to the Ohio Valley Conference and play for the Murray State Racers next fall. Carter Jr. visited Charlotte and College of Charleston along with the Racers this fall. Carter Jr. is looking to help his Cardinal Newman Cardinals dethrone the defending 3-time 3-A SCISA State Champions Porter Gaud Cyclones this coming February in Sumter.
Khydarius Smith #19 won’t have to travel far next year for school. Smith 6’9 left-handed forward from Nation Ford HS will play at USC-Upstate for Head Coach Dave Dickerson next season.
Trey Smith will play in the Magnolia State next season at Delta State University.in Cleveland, MS.. Smith a left-handed scoring machine averaged 28 ppg last season for the Cardinals. Smith starts his senior season with 2,033 career points.
Jalen Williams (2019) has returned home to the Summerville, SC area after being at Our Savior New American in Centereach, NY. Williams a point guard has enrolled at Ashley Ridge HS. Williams a point guard started his high school career at Pinewood Prep. .
