Official Visitors Return
September is an enormous visitation window. Many top 2019’s in the nation utilize the beginning of fall for official college visits. Tennessee prospects ventured out to attractive schools in search of their college home.
Three top 2019’s to keep an eye are Damion Baugh, Antonio Thomas, and Chandler Lawson.
Chandler Lawson moved out of state. Prior to moving from Memphis, Tennessee Chandler was a top 3 player in the state. This weekend both Chandler and Johnathan Lawson visited Ole Miss. Ole Miss Head Coach Kermit Davis hosted Chandler Lawson for an official visit. Johnathan tagged along. Earlier in the week Ole Miss visited with Chandler’s parents for an in-home visit.
Antonio Thomas took a jaunt up to Peoria, Illinois, the home of the Bradley Braves.
Damion Baugh visited Texas Christian University (TCU). More than an official visit Damion was able to enjoy College Gameday, the national football telecast and road show.
Damion Baugh climbed higher than anybody else this summer in Tennessee. Damion’s speed and height for the position always registered as elite. The difference in his confidence from 2017 to 2018 demands dropped jaws. Now, after practicing with Coach Norton Hurd IV (Team Thad HC) and Tennessee Prep for the full spring, Baugh is an elite two-way guard. Few guards in the nation play with more fire and length.
As of Sunday night none of the three top prospects have verbally committed. Stay tuned though as Antonio Thomas will be mulling over that Bradley visit in the coming days. Damion has two more officials lined up (Georgetown, Auburn). Florida is still on the table too.
