New Life Christian Open Gym/Workouts
The NLCA Monarchs have made great strides over the past few seasons and will look to take it to another level this season. They have a team full of college prospects at each level and we saw exactly that during our time at New Life, lets take a look at some of the players that stood out to us and which players that colleges should be keeping an eye on.
2020 Wing Reggie Raynor is the player that has the most buzz around his name at the moment, he’s athletic, strong and has only gotten better. Currently he has multiple Low Major offers and should pick up more sooner than later, lots of upside in this youngster.
2020 PG Reggie Walton is another player that has proven to be a scholarship worthy prospect, he can run a team as well as get his own offense. What separates him from many is the intensity that he plays with, every time he steps on the court he treats games as if it is a championship type game.
2021 Guard Pharell Davis: He’s young but the amount of experience that he has is only going to pay off this season and in the future if he stays focused. He can shot the ball well from deep and if he plays with more energy and upside he will turn plenty of heads.
2020 Guard Phil Martin: He made the move over to New Life and joined the 2020 class which will only help his recruit as he now has an extra year to show what he can do. Its known that he can shoot the ball at an extremely high level but now he is showing that he can put the ball on the floor and take his man off the dribble.
2019 Forward/Center Jalen Love: Love is a player that JC programs should already be tracking right now, he’s very raw offensively but has a nice amount of upside. Rebounding, blocking shots are already things he can do at a nice level, once he adds some more things offensively, he will become a much more dangerous player.
2020 Forward Jeremyah McWilliams: The decision to reclassify for him is one that we really think was the right move, this extra year gives him the chance to add to his game and body. His skillset is college prospect level already, the next two seasons will be up to him to show which level of college basketball he can play at.
2019 Wing Latrell Jones: His stock is on the rise for various reasons and we expect him to have a nice amount of success this season. He already has a physique that makes it look as if he is on the college level which catches attention early on, once he gets it going offensively he is a difficult player to defend.
