MD Top 250 Upperclassmen Standouts
BALTIMORE, MD — The Prep Hoops Top 250 came to the Park School of Baltimore on Saturday, where the talent level was high and the competition fierce. Here we begin our coverage of the event by taking a closer look at five upperclassmen standouts.
BOBBY CARSON | BOWIE ’19
6-foot-5 wing Bobby Carson did a bit of everything on both ends of the court throughout the day. What stood out the most was how well he shot the ball. Carson showed that he can create separation off the dribble and knock down shots with consistency.
CAMERON AMORUSO | DULANEY ’19
Cameron Amoruso is a well-rounded 6-foot-2 guard with length and a high basketball IQ. Amoruso is a crafty scorer around the basket who seeks contact on his drives, but can also hit shots from the perimeter and create for his teammates.
DYLIN BORDEN | ANNAPOLIS AREA CHRISTIAN ’19
5-foot-10 point guard prospect Dylin Borden was one of the very best in attendance. Borden demonstrated a smooth pull up jump shot with range, reliable playmaking ability, and a tenacious defensive temperament.
MILES MALLORY | ST. VINCENT PALLOTTI ’19
Miles Mallory, a long-limbed 6-foot-6 forward, ran the floor with purpose throughout the day, and was rewarded on a number of occasions. Mallory is a savvy rim protector who also showed that he can stretch the floor with some consistency.
WILL THOMAS | MERVO ’19
The first thing we noticed about Will Thomas was that he’s added a considerable amount of muscle in recent months. The 6-foot-6 wing, who weighs about 208 pounds now, was getting whatever he wanted offensively. Thomas was also active and alert on the defensive end, both on and off the ball. His versatility and consistent level production on both ends of the court was evident throughout the duration of the camp.
