Class of 2021 High Potential Prospects
Good basketball players are always looking for a way to continue their development. As that development comes, more college interest usually comes with. These are the players of 2021 that I think have a ton of potential and could become even better with development:
JT Elder (Cienaga):
JT Elder is one of the most exciting prospects out of the class of 2021. He is a 6’8 forward with the handles and shooting ability of a guard. Elder has seen a noticeable increase in height and skill this summer but I think he can go even further. I think he is still going to grow and get even better. While he can shoot the three ball, I would love to see him become a knock down three point shooter. That would make him nearly impossible to guard.
D’Marco Dunn (Marana):
D’Marco Dunn is another interesting prospect in the class of 2021. He has shown the ability to lead a team and score the ball at a high rate. His potential is in the physical aspect of the game. D’Marco is an athlete, playing volleyball, basketball, and football simultaneously. However, at times he has looked a step slow and could absolutely benefit from an increase in his jumping ability. If he develops physically, he will be an absolute scoring machine.
Zach Morgan (Pueblo):
Zach Morgan has great size and length. At the beginning of the AAU season, he was strictly stuck in the paint and rarely got the ball on offense. Since then, he has grown in height, athleticism, and skill. Morgan has shown the ability to knock down the mid-range effectively and the deep ball from time to time. He has also developed quite nicely as an athlete. He looked very good moving around on defense and can now even keep up with smaller guards. If he can continue develop a more consistent three point shot, he will turn into a very nice prospect. Nearly every coach wants to have a stretch big that can knock down threes and play defense.
