250 Expo: Class of 2019 Stock Risers
James Kenan HS Guard Darryl McCaster Jr: We have seen him do damage just about every time we have watched him play and this time was no different. He scored the ball at a high rate while showing he could distribute the ball as well, hitting teammates with passes that were on time and on target. D2 programs have begun to track him and show interest and it does not surprise us at all, Darryl should have a big time senior season.
Freedom HS Guard/Forward Jakari Dula: Anytime you see a player his height that can do so many different things from the guard spot, it has to grab your attention pretty quickly. He understands how to get from point A to point B without much dribbling and is an unselfish player. With that being said, his offensive skillset is very high and he displayed a little of all of what he could do throughout the day. He knocked down shots from midrange and three point land, as well as blowing by defenders with various jabs and fakes.
Overhills HS Forward Jaylen Moore: We have seen him play in the post quite a bit over the last few years where he finishes inside the paint and pulls down rebounds at a pretty high rate. During this event he showed more of his perimeter skills as he knocked down a high amount of trey balls and also displayed some improved ballhandling skills.
Charlotte Catholic Center Joe Dooley: Has a solid build that will only get better once he gets into the right college program. He looked pretty comfortable in the post but also has a solid face up game, add in his height at 6’8 and you have a very nice prospect. One attribute that we liked about him was he didn’t seem to shy away from physical contact, he embraced it on both ends of the floor, which is something you like to see from a big man.
Harding University High Guard Shaleek Campbell: Where he was most productive was slashing to the paint for easy buckets. He did a nice job of finding the gaps in the defense and capitalizing on each opportunity, strong and quick player. On the defensive end of the floor he was just as effective and you can tell he was really giving it max effort.
