With that being said let’s take a look at some of the 2020 additions to these rankings as well as the players who we feel could have breakout seasons in this class.
Freedom Christian Aymeric Toussaint: With his size (6’8) and potential , he is one that has caught the attention of college coaches and will have a chance to raise his stock this season. MM and LM programs have both been in to see him and they like what he brings to the team as a stretch forward type of prospect.
Wesleyan Christian Luke Davis: He did some nice things playing alongside Dayron Sharpe & Shykiem Phillips over the last few years and will look to have a bigtime season this year as more of the focal guy. The athleticism along with upside are things that you have to like about him, anytime you give a player like Luke an extra year to develop and tweak things, then you have to be excited.
Trinity Christian Todd Burtt: He will have a chance to show what he can do early on as Trinity lost two Forwards last season due to graduation. The Crusaders schedule will be pretty tough as usual so there won’t be much time for him to find his way but we feel he should be fine, scoring and rebounding are where we feel he can make his mark.
Laney HS Demarcus McLaurin: We are patiently waiting for Demarcus to have his time to breakout, he can score the ball well when he is aggressive and has the potential to be a scholarship guy without a doubt. Consistent production over the next year can dictate what level he can play at, when we saw him he looked like a LM/High D2 but more opportunities to see him play good comp will tell.
Grace Christian Allan Taylor: We like what he brings to the table and his potential a lot, he’s a legit 6’8 and is perfectly fine with mixing it up inside with other bigs. He’s put in some time and work with his game and will only get better as long as he stays locked in, he will be one to keep an eye on closely over the next year.
