Below is a list of stand out seniors from William Jessup’s Fall League. These seniors are looking to go out with a big bang.
Gunndeep Hayer 2019 Pitman High School– Mr Hayer is a strong smooth guard that always has his head up. A very unselfish guard Hayer could easily blow by defenders and score with floaters and quick footed layups like he does when his team needs a bucket , but instead uses his high level I.Q and passing ability to facilitate .When receiving the outlet pass he already has his eyes up looking to make the next pass to get a teammate an easy bucket. With great confidence he imposes his will on the defense getting by defenders and scoring in a high volume. On defense he is definition of pressure , fighting over screens, talking and keeping his team involved verbally he is a great leader for his Pitman Squad.
Max Iurco Mesa Verde 2019– Max is the definition of an athlete. Weighing in at about 200 pounds and standing at about 6’2 he has the body and athletic ability of a high level guard. After passing the looks test he passes the hustle play stat as well. With numerous saved balls and diving on the floor, his motor did not fade the entire game. With a bulldog mentality he borrowed his way to the rim scoring or getting fouled every time he was driving. He also used his body to create great looks knocking down a couple tough jumper and highly contested 3’s. Max is looking to have a breakout year for Mesa Verde.
Daniel Radu 2019-Mesa Verde – With a wiry frame Daniel has good size for a 2 guard. With good length he glided to the rim on multiple occasions while also looking to finish above the rim. With conservative play Daniel blends into the game as the first 3 minutes or so go by. After that it’s go time and he forces his will getting steals, lose balls and showing off his great ability to make plays time in and time out. With good from and good looks he was able to show his ability to get to his spots and knock down shots at a high clip. Mostly in the midrange
Jamie Gipson 2019 Del Campo– By far the best senior point guard of the day. With a solid body and elite quickness and his team allowing him to lead, Jamie put his skill set on complete display. His ability to let his game come to him is a great added bonus, plus running the floor and knocking down open shots when off the ball, showed his ability to catch and shoot. When plays are needed to be ran and guys need to be in the right spot he is the coach on the floor. Getting by the primary defender and even the secondary defender Jamie gets in to his defenders body airborne and finds a way to score. Very good do it everything guard with great ability to control the pace of the game.
Jordan Bryant 2019 Del Campo– Very good strong driver. Stays in the offense and also in his game. With a great motor he out works his defenders. With his quick first step he gets to the rim and finishes over all defenders. He also has the ability to guard Positions 1-5 not because of size but the ability to compete on each and every play. Off the defense rebound he looks to push the ball into the teeth of the defense and score or dish out for an assist. He has a very good pull up in the mirage from free throw line extended.
