2019 : SCISA 3-A Players to Watch
The 2019 SCISA 3-A top players are led by the #1 player in the Palmetto State Josiah James. James 6’6 left-handed guard has narrowed his choices down to Clemson, Duke and Tennessee. James a fixture in the starting lineup for the Cyclones is looking to win another state championship this coming season. The Cyclones have won the past 3 straight championships.
Chico Carter Jr is looking to get the Cardinal Newman Cardinals over the hump this season. Carter Jr. a point guard has strong interest from Charlotte, Murray State and College of Charleston. Carter Jr. played this past Grassroots Circuit with Team Charlotte.
Michel Dukes is a absolute beast on the football field for the First Baptist Hurricanes. Dukes has over 15 offers on the football field. Dukes a running back for the Hurricanes has rushed for close to 5,000 yards in the past 3 seasons.
Devin Dean and Joe Powell form a nice three headed monster for the First Baptist Hurricanes. Dean and Powell both combo guards really have the ability to pickup the slack on any given night. Dean really uses his body well to fight off defenders and attack the basket.
Powell is a very deceptive athlete who can really knockdown shots on the floor. Powell has the green light to pull the trigger anytime he has the ball in his hands.
Ja-Saun Pryor arrived at Pinewood Prep last season after playing at nearby Woodland HS. Pryor 6’4 likes to set up shop in the corners. Pryor is always very active away from the ball.
Cleo Canty and Bryson Earle round the 2019 class. Canty plays at Hammond while Earle attends Cardinal Newman. Canty a left-handed guard excels on the football field for the Skyhawks. Earle came back from injury late in the season last year for the Cardinals, expect for him to boost his numbers this coming season.
