Where Do I Go: Small Town Programs
James Kenan HS (1241 NC 24 & 50, Warsaw, NC 28398): Senior Guard Darryl Mccaster Jr is on tap to have a big time season for the squad. He averaged just under 20 PPG last season and put together some outstanding performances throughout the spring and summer which included a big time showing at the College Prospect Combine. At this point he has picked up interest from programs at the D2 & D1 levels, school should definitely drop in to see him play.
Hoke County HS (505 S Bethel Rd, Raeford, NC 28376): The Bucks lost a high amount of talent due to graduation but will return a nice amount of guard play. Senior Guard Eli Harris will bring in some much needed experience while Sophomore Guard Jaquantae Harris will be a player that is called on to be more of an offensive threat. Tae Harris is considered a D1 potential prospect while, Eli Harris has picked up interest from D3 College programs.
Scotland County HS (1000 W Church St, Laurinburg, NC 28352): One of the more talented Scotland County basketball squads that we have seen in recent years, the Fighting Scots have multiple college prospects. Senior Wing Isaiah Bostick is a tremendous athlete and will be a nice fit at D2 college program, he is still raw in some areas but is a nice player and prospect. Junior Guard Garrett McRae is another player that can play on the next level, as of now he is more D2 level but that can change with a good year of production.
Clinton HS (340 Indian Town Road, Clinton, NC 28328): The Dark horses will lose a lot due to graduation but they have some talent returning and some younger players moving up. Senior Forward Xavier Howard will be the good to guy for this team, he’s a double/double type player with a nice mixture of skill and power. JC programs as well as D2’s should be keeping an eye on his play and progression throughout the year.
