Whats Going On? Latest Recruitment News
With school beginning back up we have seen some movement with transfers on the high school level as well as some players committing to programs on the college level. Let’s take a look at some of the latest news and movements that have taken place.
- Jaden Scriven to Fayetteville Christian- This move was one that we had been hearing about over the last few months but we weren’t fully sure what was going to happen with it. The Warriors have picked up two legit transfers in the frontline now with Scriven joining 6’5 forward Jaden Kirkland. This will only help Scriven as he will have an extra year of time to develop which will only make him that much more dangerous.
- John Michael Wright is Back– Recently he made the move down to Georgia to complete his senior season but now he is headed back to where it all began, Fayetteville Academy. Wright played for the Eagles his freshman and sophomore seasons heading to Northwood Temple as a junior. With Wright returning, Coach Boyette gets a nice pickup to run his team to go alongside Senior Forward William Oyeonodi and Emmanuel Izunabor.
- Holly Springs 2019 Forward Kadin Shedrick is headed to UVA- Recently he took a visit to UVA and it looks like he felt right at home as he has made an early commitment to the Cavilers. The improvement of Shedrick over the past few years has been very impressive and we are excited about what he can possibly be during his college career before it’s all said and done.
- Former Lejeune HS Standout Karee Smith has enrolled at Green Run HS in VA- Smith is a talented youngster that is beginning to turn heads with his stellar play. He has good length, is crafty and has all the tools to be a very good defender, a player that you have to love having on your squad.
- Former FCS 2019 Guard Alijah Miles & Daquan Chambers are headed to Berean Baptist Academy: The duo will be at BBA to team up with Kelton Battle and Aaron Sinclair to form a nice unit for the Bulldogs. Miles lays the game with a nice amount of energy defensively while Chambers has shown the ability to make plays as a slasher.
