UNCP Elite Camp 2019 & 2020 Standouts
Dillon HS 2019 Forward Darius Boatwright: Nice player with good size and length, he runs the floor well, rebounds, blocks shots and finishes at the rim. He has a long wingspan that we saw him use on the defensive end of the floor to block and alter shots.
John Paul II HS 2019 Forward Dyquavius Wilkins: A player with solid height and length but will impress you with his athletic ability. Throughout the day he threw down some monster dunks that showed just how athletic he can possibly be, there is plenty to like about his game and upside as schools at the D2 & D3 level have shown interest.
Wilson HS 2019 Guard Deshawn Brackett: Has a gift for scoring the ball in multiple ways, he can take his man off the dribble to make a play or knock down shots off the catch. His size for a guard isn’t bad as he is just under 6’, he has good acceleration as well which we saw when he decided to push the tempo.
Village Christian 2020 Guard Zavian Mclean: With his move over to Village Christian Academy and joining the 2020 class, we feel as though this will be the year that school begin to pull the trigger and offer. He has picked up quite a bit of interest from schools as the D1 & D2 levels so far and during camp he showed everyone in attendance why. You can play him off the ball because of the ability he has to score, as well as playing him on the ball as he showed the ability to get teammates involved.
Phillip O Berry Academy 2020 Guard Maurice Brown: Solid overall showing, he did a nice job of picking his spots offensively and fitting in with the flow of the team. One attribute that we truly liked about him was his willingness to compete, he didn’t look to take plays off or coast through things but instead he locked in and took matchups personal.
