The Expo is Just Over a Week Away
The Twin Cites Top 250 Expo is Sunday September 9th and will have the deepest talent pool that Minnesota has ever had. Secure your spot soon and join the following local talents.
Burnsville High School is the host of this year’s Top 250 Expo and leading the way will be former Tartan State Champion Jake Sullivan. Sullivan played at Iowa State for four years and was an All Big XII performer three times who started Kingdom Hoops after years at All Iowa Attack is now back in the Twin Cities.
When it come to seniors the Expo will once again have a couple of the top players in the state including Wisconsin signed Tyler Wahl and Prior Lake big man Robert Jones who will also be visiting the University of Denver in the days prior to the Expo. College coaches will be able to attend the Expo and while they are they will also get a chance to watch some of the state’s top available scholarship level players – like Carter Henry and Dane Zimmer – as well as top 50 players that include Austin Jentzen, Khari Broadway, and Camden Arndt.
The Expo in Minnesota will also include some players that have showed in the winter and the spring that they have potential for the college level. Bigs like Carson Schoeller of Prior Lake and Alex Larson and East Ridge sprouted this spring and the Expo will be a great chance to see how they improved in the past six weeks. Then there is Qentrell Douglas from BC, active wing Dominek Block of Park of Cottage Grove, Riley Burger from Totino-Grace, and Brandon Pieterson who is coming off a few college visits locally.
As far as the juniors go the battles at guard/wing that include Parker Nielson, J’Vonne Hadley, and David Ijadimbola. Nielson had a fantastic 16u season with Minnesota Select and was named a top 40 talent in Wisconsin’s 2020 class. Hadley scored 18 a game as a sophomore and then led Gain Elite in several games throughout the 16u year. Ijadimbola is one of the ball handlers at Park Center and he teammed with Hadley at Gain Elite.
Some of the names to watch are Gavin Vosika of BOLD, Micah Ladd of Cambridge, and Deandre “DJ” Miller of Cooper. Vosika is one of the craftier playmakers in the state’s junior class while Miller was a key ball handler for a strong Team Get Shook team. The top big to watch from the junior class will be Hadley’s Mahtomedi teammate Cole Chapman.
At least three of the top 25 players from the 2021 class are also ready to battle at the Expo. Names like Andre Gray of Hopkins, Devin Burger of Totino-Grace, and Ryan Dufault of Waseca. Gray is a scoring threat in many different ways and he’s becoming a better distributor as well. Burger at Totino-Grace had a great year with the TC Pirates and is being looked at as one of the best sophomores in the north metro.
From the outstate Ryan Dufault is a big name. He was named Freshmen All State in the winter and 15U All State this summer. Jace Bigelow of Kasson-Mantorville and Finn Diggins of Perham are two of the more interesting outstate players also coming. Diggins is a strong frontcourt player and Bigelow got better every game as a freshman down south. When it comes to the 2022 class Jackson Loge is one of the best incoming freshmen in the state and he will also be at the Expo.
