Terrence Shannon to DePaul
Top prospects from the state of Illinois continue to fly off the board on a daily basis. On Sunday former Lincoln Park and current IMG (FL) 2019 small forward Terrence Shannon committed to DePaul.
What a ride it has been for Shannon over the last nine months. He went from relative unknown midway through his senior campaign to a top 100 national recruit. Shannon decided to reclassify as well as go to prep school and his play with the Mac Irvin Fire in the Nike EYBL earned him an array of high-major offers.
What does Shannon bring to the table as a prospect? This lefty small forward is at his best in the open floor. He is great at taking the ball off the defensive glass, weaving in and out of defenders, then finishing at the other end with a monster dunk! Explosive taking it to the rim. Jump shot is a bit streaky, but has potential with range.
When it comes to DePaul this is a huge addition to their program. Shannon is the biggest local recruit to select DePaul since Billy Garrett Jr in the 2013 class. He will team up with top 50 recruit Romeo Weems to form quite a duo at the forward position.
