SCISA 1-A “Best of the Best”
This season could be a change in the guard at the top of the SCISA 1-A Ranks. Anderson Christian the defending champs were hit hard by graduation and Prep Hoops learned that Rutger Hoekstra didn’t return to the United States this season for school.

Caleb Leverette (2019) – South Aiken Baptist Christian (pictured on front) – Prep Hoops SCISA 1-A Preseason Player of the Year – Leverette 6’3 averaged 27.4 ppg last season for the Crusaders. Leverette has scored 1,062 points entering his senior season. Leverette will be playing in the Prep Hoops 260 Expo in Myrtle Beach, SC on Sunday September 16.
John Price (2019) – Cathedral Academy – Price 5’10 sharp shooting guard went over 1,000 career points last season for the Generals (21-10). Price averaged 15.3 ppg last season.
Noah Moore (2019) – Laurens Academy – Moore averaged 13.5 ppg, 7.5 rebounds and 5.2 assists last season for the Crusaders.
Omacio Brownlee (2019) – Anderson Christian – Brownlee 6’5 helped the Lions win the SCISA 1-A State Championship last year. Brownlee averaged 5.6 ppg last season for the (27-3) Lions. The Lions defeated Newberry Academy 75-51 for the state title.
Connor Gleaton (2019) – Andrew Jackson Academy (Ehrhardt) – Gleaton 6’4 was hurt last season for the Confederates.
Grayson Hopkins (2019) – Holly Hill Academy – Hopkins 6’2 is back to lead the Raiders squad this season.
Zyan Gilmore (2020) Clarendon Hall (Summerton) – Gilmore averaged 28.4 ppg last season (2nd in the State) just behind current Duke Blue Devil Zion Williamson.
Traveon Davis (2020) – Clarendon Hall (Summerton) – Transferred in from nearby Lake Marion HS. Davis 6’4 should be a instant factor in the Saints offense.
Dawson Coleman (2020) – Beaufort Academy – 22 ppg last season / QB on the football team
Cainon Norris (2021) – Conway Christian – Norris 6’3 averaged 15.3 ppg last season for the Eagles.
Caleb Washington (2021) – Cathedral Academy – Washington a point guard recently arrived from Tacoma, WA for this coming school year.
Heston Foster (2022) – Cathedral Academy – Foster 6’4 stretch man could be the future for Cathedral Academy.
Kylic Horton (2022) – Clarendon Hall (Summerton) – Horton saw major minutes for the Saints last year while averaging 14.9 ppg. Horton 6’4 plays on the perimeter for the Saints with his great length.
Tyvon Richardson (2022) – The Georgetown School – Richardson 6’3 left-handed slender athlete averaged over 20 ppg last season for the Kingfishers.
