Recruiting Update: Noah Applegate (2019)
Noah Applegate – 6’7” | W | Indiana Game 2019 | Penn High School
Noah Applegate is one of the purest scorers in the 2019 Class. He has a knack for finding a way to put the ball in the basket, night in and night out. The lefty has a sweet stroke from deep and has developed a back to the basket game over the years to take advantage of his mismatch opportunities. Applegate ran with the Indiana Game program out of Northern Indiana this past summer and will be returning to Penn High School for his senior year where he and Drew Lutz will look to make a late season push.
Noah has always been known for his scoring ability with the ball in his hands but has improved with his off-ball movement and creativity to find scoring opportunities. His footwork has improved and his first step has gotten quicker.
He has also elevated his defensive awareness. He pulls down more rebounds now because of his understanding of where he needs to position himself off the ball. Applegate battles on both backboards and can start the fast break when he pulls down the defensive rebound.
Noah Applegate currently holds offers from Goshen College, the University of Saint Francis, Hillsdale College, McKendree University, and Truman State University. As the summer comes to a close, Applegate is looking to set up visits with McKendree University and Truman State University in the fall.
Noah is returning to Penn High School where the team will have a good chance to make a run at the end of the season. They are coming off a 14-10 season and have the pieces in place to continue on the winning trend they have put together over the past few seasons.
