Recruiting Report: Zach Toussaint (2019)
Johnsburg 2019 point guard Zach Toussaint is one of the most fun players to watch in the state. At his size to be able to score like he does with deep threes and dishing the rock is very impressive. We caught up with him in our latest Q&A to see what is going on with the Kessel Heat guard.
How has the spring and summer gone with Kessel Heat?
“It has gone good. The team is looking good. Getting some wins and playing together.”
How do you think you have played?
“I have played alright. Jaeden Zackery is creating shots for me and we are playing really well together. Trying to hit as many shots as I can.”
Where has he seen the most improvement in his game?
“Definitely getting in the lane and defense.”
How did it go with Johnsburg in June during high school team camps?
“We did really good. We won a lot of games against bigger schools which is always good. We are mostly seniors so we are all coming together.”
What are the strengths in your game?
“First off shooting and then creating shots for others.”
Update us on your recruitment?
“For D2 I talk to Quincy a lot. Also Augustana. Hillsdale. For D3 Wisconsin Oshkosh, St. Norbert, and Augustana in Illinois.”
Quincy is showing quite a bit of interest. What stands out about them?
“I like how it is a small town. The gym is really nice. I have been up there a few times. I really like the coaches too.”
