Recruiting Report: Drew Blosmo (2019)
We’ve told you about the do-everything approach that Drew Blosmo of Garretson has before, but today at PHD we want to talk about it some more. Blosmo will be one of the top football/basketball combo guys in the state in 2018-19.
“This summer I really learned about how important it is to just do your job in whatever role that might be, because if everyone does their job to the best of their abilities and not try and do too much you’ll have a great shot at accomplishing whatever goal you have set,” Drew said about playing with Sacred Hoops.
“Some of the best memories were honestly just playing with my teammates because there’s nothing better than that, but also just having fun outside of the games at the hotels or things like that.”
No matter what level of team you plan on in grassroots basketball, the experiences of meeting new people and forming new bonds continues to go hand in hand with a higher level of competition being top experiences. This was no different for Drew playing with Sacred Hoops.
Garretson didn’t have the season they were hoping for a year ago but Drew gave his squad 15/8 as a junior and the team is going to be better in 18-19.
“This winter we return four starters so we have a good chance at actually surprising some people. As far as some goals I believe we can win a few playoff games and end the regular season with a winning record.”
Drew can play college basketball at some level, we feel strong on that. That said, he’s a very strong football prospect.
“I have been in contact with Northern State and Dakota State for football. Those two schools have been in contact most and I plan on taking a visit to Northern and already have taken some to Dakota State University (DSU).”
