Recruiting Report: Damieon Warrum (2019)
Damieon Warrum is a guy that does it all for Pendleton Heights. The 6’7 center is active on the boards and is able to stretch the floor a bit. He has gotten much more agile and versatile with his game and that has led him to being able to do much more. Warrum is a guy who changes pace pretty well as he can go to work inside or he can take the ball out to the arc and go to work. He is still gaining confidence to attack the rim with the ball but as he adds on strength and grows a little more that shouldn’t be a problem anymore.
Warrum has received a little bit of interest from schools across the state. He has taken a visit to Goshen and has one scheduled for October 3rd at Franklin. Warrum also plans to visit Ball State on a non-basketball related visit. Warrum has interest from a few other schools but no plans for visits at this time.
Warrum felt like he played well this summer running with Indiana Elite Ice. They played in a few big events and Warrum was able to gain exposure at those events. Warrum is a guy who improved a lot this summer as he worked on shooting the ball and his ball handling. For a post player who is attempting to move out more to the perimeter these are two skills that are useful to work on. Right now, Warrum is working on his post moves and driving the ball. A lot of what Warrum works on is coordinated on the offensive side of the ball and becoming a more all around player.
This upcoming season, Warrum is looking forward to morphing into a better leader and playing against the good competition. Warrum is a guy who could really take off over the winter season if the things that he has been working on grasp and help him reach a new level of play. Warrum is looking forward to helping take Pendleton Heights to places that it has never been before. Watch out for Warrum as he could have a really solid year and grab the attention of college coaches.
