In this article we take a look at some of the movement around the area and see where some of the top players are going to be ranked.
Caleb MillsThe #2 player in the NC Rankings, Jalen Lecque has decided to leave Christ School in Asheville, NC to transfer to Brewster Academy, so that will shake up the rankings a little bit towards the top. Lecque is considered a top-15 national recruit by many of the other national recruiting sites.
Some big news over the summer at Peach Jam was that Wendell Moore put all of the rumors aside and assured everyone that he will be playing his senior season where it started at Cox Mill HS, where he has helped the Chargers to the last two NCHSAA 3-A state championships. Moore is ranked #1 in the 2019 PrepHoopsNC rankings.
Greg Gantt should see a rise in the new rankings with Joey Baker re-classifying and moving on to the 2018 class at Duke. Gantt recently committed to Ed Cooley and Providence University. Gantt will move up to at least third in the latest rankings. He is a small forward at Trinity Christian in Fayetteville.
Caleb Mills is going to move into the top-5 after his showing all spring and summer. He has received offers from Tennessee, Georgia Tech, Houston, Cincinnati, Florida State, Clemson, Marquette, Pitt, Harvard, VCU among others.
Josh Nickelberry, a Louisville commit should come into the top 3 with his showing this summer playing with Game Elite. He is a scorer with a great body that will be able to contribute to the college game for The Cardinals the moment he steps on campus.
The other big name that would round out the top-6 is Patrick Williams of Team United. Williams is on everyone’s recruiting board and can play multiple positions at the next level with his ball handling skills and size.
