Prospect Watch: Braden Zuroff (2019)
Five-foot-10, 170 pound playmaking guard and standout running back Braden Zuroff from New Salem/Glen Ullin will be one of the more talented athletes in North Dakota’s senior class.
As a basketball player Zuroff found new ways to compete this summer playing with the North Dakota Phenom.
“Over the summer I’ve picked up how to always play off two feet, and I’ve gotten better at on-ball defense,” Braden said. “My top memories from the summer, are getting to play and become friends with some of the best players in the State.
“I’ve had a lot of fun all four years playing for the ND Phenom, and I’ve learned a lot from playing that level of basketball.”
Last winter Braden averaged 16-17 points and nine boards a game for his team and expectations are higher for the final season.
“This winter we have everyone coming back. A starter from last year, Mason Gerving, will help contribute with scoring and rebounding. We also have two sophomores coming up that will get a lot of minutes who both will also contribute with scoring.
“Other than players, we have two new coaches who were very successful at their previous coaching job in Heart River. With our new coach, Greg Pruitt, I see our team as top 4 in the region.”
Braden appears to be a top college football prospect in the state as he enters another big fall.
“As far as recruiting I’ve been talking to a good amount of coaches for football, but I was only able to make it to one of the visits I was invited to,” Braden said.
