Prospect Spotlight: Jailin Lee (2020)
Jailin Lee was still in Michigan when we spoke with him earlier this week, but he’ll be in Las Vegas very soon.
A family move will take the former Farmington point guard to Nevada, where he hopes to play at Silverado High School the next two seasons. Although, he’s not yet enrolled in any school.
A 5-foot-9 point guard, Lee was starting to make his mark in Michigan last season as a sophomore, and will continue his evolution out West.
“My strengths are 3-point shooting and then dribbling, and then passing and my basketball IQ is really high,” said Lee. “I need to get stronger and faster.”
He played with Michigan Transition and Motor City Grizzlies this past spring and summer for his 16U offseason.
“This offseason I’ve just been in the gym working on my game, getting better, getting stronger, getting faster,” he said. “I’m just trying to be the best I can be next year.”
Silverado was the school he brought up when asked where he’ll enroll this school year. But it’s still up in the air as to where he’ll attend high school this season.
“Going down to Vegas, I just really want to focus on getting better,” said Lee. “With Silverado, I contacted the coach he hasn’t gotten back to me yet. But we’re still looking for other schools.”
