Prospect Intro: Jamaun Clark (2020)
Jamaun Clark is a rising Junior who is hoping to establish himself as a top point guard in the 10th region this season. Coming off a sophomore campaign where he averaged just shy of 7 points and right at 2 rebounds per game, Clark has aspirations of doubling those averages and then some. Jamaun freely acknowledges he needs to improve his shooting heading into this season after shooting only 39% from the field and 28% from 3 last year. “My game is mostly getting to the rim with the basketball and when I’m stopped passing out to shooters and getting everybody involved. But I really need to improve on my shooting.”
Jamaun spent his 16u AAU season playing with Charlotte Court and had a great experience, “I played with Charlotte Court and it went well. It showed me that I really need to improve on my pull up jump shot. Playing against good opponents is only going to help me improve my game.” To reach his goals for the season ahead, Clark is going to need to show that improved game. “My goals this season are to win the district, win the region and get to the state tournament.” If Paris is going to be a factor in the 10th region, Clark needs to up his production and help replace the 6 seniors that graduated for the Greyhounds last year. In a region full of good point guards, Jamaun Clark is going to have plenty of opportunities to show his abilities and lead his team to Rupp Arena in March.
