Program Awards: Team Rose
Now that the travel team season has wrapped up we dive into programs across the state looking at their teams in a variety of categories in our Program Awards! Today we examine Team Rose!
Program MVP
Dajuan Gordon (Curie)
Gordon was a prospect that we had pegged coming into the spring as a potential breakout candidate on the national scene and he did just that. This Curie two guard has a lean build and is wired to score it! He elevated his game in key situations hitting big shot after big shot.
Top 2019 Prospect
Dajuan Gordon (Curie)
Continuing where we started above Gordon his spring elevated his ranking to #3 in the state and that is exactly where he will stay heading into the high school season. The reason is his upside as a scorer. Gordon can get buckets from all three levels with a feathery jumper along with an explosive first step off the bounce.
Top 2020/2021 Prospect
Ramean Hinton (Curie)
Hinton is a high motor scorer that puts it in the hoop. The Curie two guard elevated his stock behind a strong spring which helped him move into the top 5 overall. He is a tough and dynamic athlete, but what took his game to the next level was the consistency he displayed on his jump shot.
Sleeper
Demetrius Douglas (North Lawndale)
This North Lawndale 6’2” shooting guard is a quality athlete and angular wing. He did a solid job shooting it from three during the spring. Mixed in a nice hesitation and blow by moves on occasion.
Biggest Stock Riser
Kameron Battle (Oswego East)
Battle is a name that emerged with his play for Team Rose. He is a combo forward that has a lot of bounce. Explosive leaper that did a lot of damage on the offensive glass.
