West Lafayette, IN | The Fall season is here and it got going this weekend with a set of Elite Camps. Up first was Purdue and they had a full crowd on hand Saturday with more than 100 prospects and some of the best talent in the Midwest.  Here is our breakdown of the in-state talent:

Max Christie – 6’4 PG 2021 – Rolling Meadows (IL)
Christie is one of the most impressive point guards I saw this summer. Really talented and skilled, able to make really creative plays with the ball in his hands and one of the better passers you are going to find. Sees the floor so well and while he’s so thin, he plays tough and finishes a lot of plays through some tough contact. Easy to see the upside and why Purdue has already offered.

Zach Loveday – 7’0 C 2020 – Gallia Academy (OH)
Loveday is a tall post who really had himself a day. Was more fluid on the perimeter and looked like he’s almost to the point where he’s going to consistently make plays off the bounce. Much more of an interior guy right now but likely going to be able to build his game out to the perimeter more. Already has a capable jumper.

Will McCracken – 6’4 SF 2021 – Moeller (OH)
McCracken was pretty impressive today. Played really tough and physical, rebounding the ball and defending at a higher level than others at the event. He’s a heady wing who can shoot the ball well and provide more versatility as a guard defender.  Stood out because of his effort level today.

Chet Holmgren – 7’0 PF 2021 – Minnehaha Academy (MN)
Chet is probably the most skinny player you are going to come across but even since the summer he has become far more fluid and comfortable in his 7’0 frame. So talented with the ball in his hands for his size, he’s going to event develop more creativeness and with just how tall he is, not many will do it how he will. Needs that strength on the frame though but if he ever stops growing, his body should catch up.

Cam’Ron Fletcher – 6’6 SF 2020 – Vashon (MO)
Fletcher was pretty impressive on the day, maybe the most of any guy in the All-Star games at the end. He’s a big wing with tons of skill and made play after play using his athleticism. Could solid transition scores and dunks and even had some good shots fall off pull-ups. Looks very well rounded and has enough skill to make you dream on him.
