NC Impact Transfers
With a new school year beginning this past week, we now have a better idea of where players will be next season. Some players enrolled in places that we expected while others fell to spots that we didn’t have the slightest idea about. So who will make an early impact at their new location? Lets take a look at some of the top early impact transfer students.
Village Christian 2020 Zavian McLean: This may be the biggest pickup in the city as Zay is a tremendous scorer, he will fight right in with the way Village wants to play and will only help his recruitment with this move. The maturity that he displays for a player his age is very impressive and you have to love what he can bring on both sides of the ball.
Pine Forest HS 2019 Forward Miles Ray: He brings exactly what the Trojans need this year, more scoring and rebounding from the forward spot. Ray is a freakish athlete and will be a player that should make an impact from the beginning of the season.
New Life Christian 2019 Forward Jeremyah McWilliams & 2020 Guard Phil Martin: The two areas where New Life has problems last season were solved with the addition of these two players. Jeremyah provides some much needed height and rebounding for the Monarchs while Phil Martin is a player that provides them consistent shooting from outside.
Northwood Temple 2020 Guard Jamahri Harvey: He comes into Northwood with a high amount of varsity playing experience and we expect him to hit the floor running. When given the opportunity he can fill up the scoring sheet and also throw down some highlight dunks while he is at it.
Fayetteville Academy 2019 Guard John Michael Wright: With the return of bigs Williams Oyeondi & Emmanuel Izunabor, the next question that came to the mind of many was who will be the PG? Well last week that question was answered as John Michael Wright enrolled at FA for his senior year, this give the Eagles some much needed help at the PG spot with the departure of EJ Bethea.
