Justin Hohn Describes Visit to D1 school UC-Irvine
Tea Area point guard Justin Hohn has a resume full of accomplishments and the latest is a division one offer from UC-Irvine. Hohn spoke with PHD about his California visit today.
“The weather is always in the high 70s, low 80s which is nice, the beach is only a few miles from campus, the student housing, and the program itself were all standouts from the visit,” Justin said.
Hohn played with the Pentagon Schoolers 17u team this year and consistently saw staff from UC-Irvine at his games. And the offer? It was huge to Justin.
“I felt a huge amount of relief receiving the offer because they had been interested in me most of the summer and I took an unofficial there and loved it,” Hohn explained.
Justin has local D2 schools looking at him as well.
“I’ve also visited USF but no other places besides that.”
Playing with the Schoolers this year was a great experience for Justin.
“Being on the Schoolers allowed me to develop more of a leadership role and also improved my consistency because we competed with a high level of competition all year,” Justin said.
“I hope to translate what I’ve learned from Kirk Hinrich all the way to state A championship again.”
