Intro: Uchenna Egekeze (2020)
Huntley 2020 shooting guard Uchenna Egekeze is an angular and lengthy two guard that is the younger brother of former Huntley and Belmont standout Amanze Egekeze. This guard is a plus defender with his length and quickness on the perimeter. Active on both ends of the floor. Rebounds well and showed some handles attacking off the bounce.
He broke down his sophomore campaign.
“I thought my sophomore year went pretty good. A lot to work on and it was definitely learning experience. I started off on sophomore team and moved up to varsity. Trying to get better each time I play.”
On the grassroots circuit Egekeze has played with Fundamental U 16U.
“I thought I played well. There is a lot to improve on. I thought I played pretty good. I have to keep developing and growing from here on out.”
What are the strengths of his game?
“I feel like I am pretty good at getting to the rim and have a nice first step. I think the next part of my game is to develop a mid-range game.”
