Intro: Marcus Skeete (2020)
Waubonsie Valley 2020 Marcus Skeete is a huge jumbo forward that has an imposing body. The lefty is a mismatch problem as he is too strong for wings down low and can take big men off the dribble on the perimeter. He is a powerful finisher at the cup. Tenacious rebounder.
He chatted with us about his junior campaign.
“I learned a lot playing varsity. My coach helped me become a better athlete and better defender. I got stronger. Now my focus is to be quicker, improve as a ball handler, and make free throws.”
What does he bring to the table as a prospect?
“I think I am very versatile. I can play all positions. Being able to distribute, take good shots, and finish.”
Skeete mentioned some of the schools he is hearing from.
“Miami (OH) I went to their camp and they liked me. Bradley talked to me. Some D2s including Grand Valley State. I visited Northern Illinois.”
He runs with HIT 16U on the circuit.
