Intro: Connor Dillon (2020)
Peoria Notre Dame 2020 Connor Dillon is an athletic combo guard that is definitely a sleeper out of central Illinois. Wiry guard that doesn’t look like the most imposing athlete, but he surprises you getting up for some high flying conversions at the rim. Skilled guard that handles it well using fakes and hesitation to keep defenders off balance. Makes shots shooting it although there is some side spin at times.
Dillon spoke about his game and where it has improved.
“I think my shooting has been getting better. I have been driving to the hole and my bounce has gotten better.”
What are his strengths?
“I am a shooter that drives when you try to close out.”
Dillon spoke about his team last year on the high school level and their play in June.
“We did better than usual. We were over .500, but lost in the first round. June we went 13-0 so it went pretty good.”
Three in-state programs are monitoring him.
“Western Illinois, Bradley, and Northern Illinois have talked to me a little.”
One of them is showing the most interest.
“Western Illinois is talking to me the most. They send me messages telling me they look forward to seeing me play. They are a good team that passes the ball and shoots.”
